Invisalign

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that straightens teeth using a series of clear, custom-made aligners. The aligners are designed to gradually shift your teeth into a more desirable position. Unlike traditional braces, you can remove your aligners to eat and brush your teeth without worry or discomfort.

You’ll receive a new set of aligners every two weeks until your smile is aligned. Then, you’ll be fitted with a retainer to wear at night to keep your teeth in their new positions. Typically, the treatment plan takes around a year for adults. For teens, the treatment timeline may be shorter or longer depending on the individual case.

At So Young Park, DDS, our dentist will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan to help you achieve your dream smile.

How Does Invisalign Work?

If you’re considering orthodontic treatment, chances are you’ve heard about invisible braces like Invisalign. These clear aligners can help straighten your teeth without using traditional metal brackets and wires. The aligners are custom-made to your mouth to ensure optimal comfort and fit. And because they’re removable, eating your favorite foods is easy!

Unlike traditional braces, these clear aligners are virtually invisible when you smile or speak. Patients have reported more comfortable treatment because there are no brackets to rub on sensitive parts of their mouths. In addition, patients love that they can remove the aligners when they need to brush and floss their teeth, which isn’t an option with traditional braces.

Is Invisalign the Right Choice for Me?

Both braces and Invisalign can straighten your teeth but in very different ways. Braces use brackets, wires, and bands to put pressure on your teeth and move them into position. Invisalign uses a series of clear aligners to apply gentle pressure to your teeth and gradually move them into place.

Invisalign is removable, whereas braces are worn at all times. This means brushing and flossing are easier with Invisalign than with traditional braces. However, to prevent staining, you must be careful when eating and caring for your teeth.

Invisalign is ideal for busy patients who want an alternative to traditional orthodontic options. Because Invisalign uses clear aligners that are custom molded to your teeth, they’re virtually invisible when worn. This means you can straighten your smile without drawing attention to your orthodontic treatment. This can benefit you when it comes to first impressions at a new job or in a new relationship.
